Glossary
EPCIS
A GS1 standard for capturing and sharing supply-chain events — what happened, when, where, why and to which item.
EPCIS (Electronic Product Code Information Services) is how serialised items are tracked through manufacturing, logistics and retail. It's the data backbone behind anti-counterfeit programmes and per-unit Digital Product Passports.
Combined with GS1 Digital Link as the consumer-facing carrier, EPCIS provides the operational history that makes provenance claims verifiable rather than aspirational.
